      How to choose a flush mount

      Flush mounts are ideal for ceilings under 8 feet, where a hanging fixture would get in the way.

      For size, add the room's length and width in feet. That total, in inches, is a good starting diameter. Long hallways usually need one fixture every 8 to 10 feet.

      Flush or semi-flush?

      Flush mounts sit right against the ceiling. Semi-flush mounts hang a few inches down and suit ceilings 8 feet and higher.

      Can I use a flush mount in a bathroom?

      Yes, if it is damp-rated. Look for damp-rated models in the Bathroom Lighting collection.
