How to choose flush mount ceiling lights
Flush mounts sit tight to the ceiling, which makes them the best choice for rooms with ceilings under 8 ft or for spaces where a hanging fixture would get in the way. Semi-flush fixtures drop a few inches and suit ceilings of 8 to 9 ft.
For general room lighting, a common target is about 20 lumens per square foot. Many of our LED flush mounts offer selectable colour temperature, so you can choose warm or cool white at installation.

A flush mount sits directly against the ceiling, while a semi-flush mount hangs a few inches below it, which adds more decorative presence and spreads light wider.
What size flush mount do I need?
Add the room's length and width in feet and use that number in inches as a starting diameter. A 10 ft by 12 ft bedroom suits a fixture around 20 to 22 inches wide.
Are LED flush mounts dimmable?
Most are dimmable with a compatible dimmer. The recommended dimmer type is listed in each product's specifications.
